I am a post-doctoral fellow in the Political Science Department at the University of Toronto and received my PhD at Emory University in Spring 2021.
My research agenda explores the relationships between leaders and their supporting elites, whether in the inner circle of regime leadership, staffing the bureaucracy, or controlling local machines, and the impact these relationships have on public goods distribution. Overall, my research can be categorized into two streams: distributive politics and governance, and personnel and elite politics. I utilize formal theory, observational quantitative and qualitative analyses, focus groups, and surveys.
