I am an Assistant Teaching Professor of Quantitative Theory & Methods at Emory University.
Prior to joining the QTM faculty, I was a post-doctoral fellow in Political Science at the University of Toronto. I received my PhD from Emory University in Political Science in 2021.
My research agenda explores the relationships between leaders and their supporting elites, whether in the inner circle of regime leadership, staffing the bureaucracy, or controlling local machines, and the impact these relationships have on public goods distribution. Overall, my research can be categorized into two streams: distributive politics and governance, and personnel and elite politics. I utilize formal theory, observational quantitative and qualitative analyses, focus groups, and surveys.
